Our first counselling session will consist of me finding out what you hope for and need from counselling and we can touch on whether you are looking for short or long term therapy. You will get the chance to see if I am the right counsellor for you and if you feel happy working with me going forwards.

Sessions can take place in different ways to meet your needs

Therapy room

I offer one-to-one counselling from my tranquil summerhouse therapy room. It is a short distance from Frenchay Common and just a few minutes drive from Junction 1 of the M32. There is private parking available just a few metres away and is also close to bus routes. There is one step up to the entrance of the summerhouse.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence based and highly successful psychotherapy treatment. It will help you to process and recover from traumatic past experiences that are affecting your mental health and wellbeing in the present.

Walk and talk

For those who find it challenging to be indoors in the traditional counselling setting, I offer the opportunity to meet and walk in woods and commons, in the fresh air and in nature in different weather and changing seasons.

On-line

If you prefer to talk online or you don’t live in the Bristol area, we can use video calling.

Counselling sessions are £60 for 50 minutes to be paid in cash or by bank transfer on the day of the session

Missed appointments with less than 48 hours notice will also be charged for.

Holiday dates can be mutually negotiated between the two of us.

The beginning and end time of the counselling session will be honoured, even if you are late for any reason.
